Wayne Dawes Jr.
Dawes graduated from Kean University in 2024 with a B.A. in Communication–Media and Film. A proud BTS student and senior editor/staff writer for the Cougars Byte (Student Life Media Team). He hopes to continue working at Kean University and be a leader for future students in some way.
Dawes is currently a Graduate Student at Rutgers University while also working as an Academic Specialist at BTS. The BTS Program is so proud of his achievements and excited to see where life takes him next. His hard work, dedication, and passion have brought him to incredible milestones.
"During my time at Kean University, I’ve had the opportunity to grow as a student and as a young adult, I can’t thank my advisors enough for guiding me through college over the last 4.5 years. Through the ups and downs of being a college student and the goals I was able to achieve, I give alot of credit to Ms.Gilli, Dr. David Jefferson, Ms. Reilly, and Mr. Guarnere. They all helped me stay on track, encouraged me to keep pushing when times were tough, and accommodated any requests I had especially when it came to registering for classes. I am so grateful for my advisors as they made my college experience one to remember. I am thankful for them encouraging me to get out of my comfort zone, try new things, and meet new people. My advisors saw potential in me that I didn’t see within myself and the advice they gave me I will cherish forever."
